At the completion of a very competitive 16 rounds of Summer Pennant the winners of City Bowls Division One were Koroit Hornets. Brendan Keane (s) Nicole Collins, Debbie Keane and Ron Waterson.
They defeated Wannon Park Racers in a game that went all the Hornets way. Hornets blasted their way clear in the early stages of the game to win 31 shots to 12 shots. Lyn Fish in her first attempt at skipping done a great job throughout the season with her team, Ian Lake, Ken Ezard and Brian Justin.
Macey’s Division Two Grand Final went to Cudgee Cougars skipped by Kevin Beaton who teamed with Mavis Hunt, Earl Dakin and Shirley Ladhams. The Cougars had their backs against the wall for the whole game, they leveled the score on the last end scoring two shots to finish winners. The final score was 22 shots to 20 shots.
Runners Up were Mepunga Magnets skipped by Ian Heatley, John Haberfield was third, Harold McKenzie and Marion Edge.
