The inaugural Southwest Challenge was played on Sunday 17th July,2022 at the Timboon Sporting Complex, It was be a Heytesbury Association versus Warrnambool Association match, with both teams comprising 40 players. Each team comprising of 4 open pairs , 4 open fours and 4 mixed fours teams. The competition saw 4 games of 10 ends with the 4 teams in each section playing the 4 teams from the opposing association over the day.
